JCI Might Move Sideways Today
US stocks closed higher on Monday; Dow Jones +0.07%, S&P 500 +0.67%, and Nasdaq +1.05%. Stocks made a recovery following the selloff of the previous week, which had weakened the momentum of the summer rally. Asian markets closed mostly lower on Monday; Kospi -0.8%, Hang Seng -1.6%, and Shanghai -0.3%. JCI ended Monday’s session at 6,910 (+0.4%), with foreign investors recording an overall net sell of IDR 540 billion; IDR -656 billion in the regular market, and IDR 116 billion in the negotiated market. The largest foreign outflow in the regular market was recorded by BBRI (IDR 256 billion), followed by BBCA (IDR 245.5 billion), and INCO (IDR 154.8 billion). The largest foreign inflow in the regular market was recorded by BBNI (IDR 85.8 billion), followed by BUMI (IDR 40 billion), and BUKA (IDR 25.2 billion). Today's top sector gainer is IDXBASIC sector, while today's top sector loser is IDXTRANS. Top leading movers are BRPT, AMRT, TLKM, while top lagging movers are BBCA, BYAN, MDKA.
Nikkei went up +0.89% this morning, while Kospi fell -0.79%. We expect the JCI to move sideways today, given mixed sentiments from global and regional market movements.
