Bursa AS semalam (18/1) ditutup melemah: Dow Jones -1.81%, S&P 500 -1.56% dan Nasdaq -1.56%. Pelemahan terjadi karena keluarnya laporan keuangan beberapa emiten perbankan dibawah ekspektasi, data retail sales menunjukkan penurunan -1.1%, data PPI juga menunjukkan penurunan 0.5% di bulan December dan Microsoft berencana untuk menghentikan sekitar 10.000 karyawan. Yield UST 10Y turun -4.53% ke level 3.38 dan USD Index naik +0.02% ke level 102.41.
Pasar komoditas terpantau bergerak mixed: minyak turun -0.87% ke level USD 79.46/bbl, batubara turun -1.06%% ke level USD 326.50/ton, dan harga emas terpantau turun -0.15% ke level USD 1,908/toz. Sedangkan nikel naik +5.75% ke level USD 28,126 dan CPO naik +1.84% ke level MYR 3,686.
Pada akhir perdagangan kemarin (18/1) bursa Asia ditutup , Nikkei naik +2.50%, Hang Seng naik 0.43%, Shanghai flat +0.01% sedangkan EIDO ditutup melemah -0.04%. IHSG ditutup turun -0.02% ke level 6,765.8 dengan investor asing mencatatkan keseluruhan net sell sebesar IDR 89.1 miliar. Di pasar reguler, investor asing mencatatkan net sell sebesar IDR 208.6 miliar, dan pada pasar negosiasi tercatat net buy asing sebesar IDR 119.5 miliar. Net sell asing tertinggi di pasar reguler dicetak oleh BMRI (IDR 108 miliar), BBCA (IDR 98.3 miliar), dan GIAA (IDR 48.7 miliar). Net buy asing tertinggi di pasar reguler dicatatkan oleh ANTM (IDR 69.8 miliar), BBNI (IDR 26.2 miliar), dan GOTO (IDR 23.3 miliar). Top leading movers emiten BBRI, ASII, BYAN, sementara top lagging movers emiten BMRI, MDKA, BEBS.
Terjadi penambahan 339 kasus baru COVID-19 di Indonesia pada (18/1) dengan daily positivity rate sebesar 1.40%. Kasus sembuh tercatat sebanyak 443 dengan recovery rate sebesar 97.61%.
