■ Indonesia’s FX reserves fell to USD 150.7bn in August (July: USD 152.0bn), slightly below SSI’s forecast of USD 151.0bn, mainly due to government debt repayments and BI’s FX interventions.
■ Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is officially appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the new finance minister, replacing Sri Mulyani. Prior to his appointment, Purbaya served as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).
■ On Monday (8/9), JCI closed -1.28% lower at 7,766.9 with foreign investors posting net sell of IDR 543.9 billion in the regular market and net buy of IDR 17.7 billion in the negotiated market.
■ According to Relative Rotation Graph (RRG), all long-term yields above 10 years remain leading. Meanwhile, yields for tenors below 10 years lag behind the 10-year benchmark, except for the 8- and 9-year ones. Interestingly, all tenors experienced weakening momentum compared to the 10-year benchmark.
