Asian markets mostly closed higher on Thursday (Oct 9): Kospi 0.0% (closed), Hang Seng -0.29%, Nikkei +1.77%, and Shanghai +1.32%. The JCI rose +1.04% to 8,250.9, with total foreign net buy of IDR 1,004.7 billion. In the regular market, foreign investors booked net sell of IDR 1,482.3 billion, while in the negotiated market they recorded net buy of IDR 2,487 billion. The top foreign net buys in the regular market were CUAN (IDR 118.8 billion), TINS (IDR 100.2 billion), and BRPT (IDR 92.9 billion), while the top net sells were BBRI (IDR 680.0 billion), BBCA (IDR 554.3 billion), and BUMI (IDR 143.9 billion). Top leading movers were BBRI, BBCA, and AMMN, while top lagging movers were MLPT, SMMA, and AADI.
This morning, Kospi opened higher (+1.22%) while Nikkei declined -0.45%. We expect the JCI to move sideways today amid mixed sentiment from regional markets.
